  24. THOR as their e-mail and news handling application, the most frequent
  25. answer would be:

  30. Everybody who subscribed to the late THOR mailing list know this to be
  31. true.

  33. Personally, I find your argument a little backward. How can it be "far
  34. simpler" to find and install a suite of programs for handling POP, SMTP,
  35. NNTP, mail-editing and news-editing than to download THOR and run a
  36. simple installer script?

  38. And the fact that THOR is able to handle a variety of additional mail
  39. formats does not add complexity to the Internet solution; all the
  40. modules are external to the main program, so you just don't install them
  41. if you don't need them.

  43. My guess is you don't know THOR well enough to justify your patronizing
  44. attack on it's designers and their capabilities.
